Servant leadership

Accreditation is alive and well in the Pacific Southwest District!  We currently have 38 accredited K -12 schools and 39 accredited Early Childhood Centers.  We also have 15 schools who are candidates this year for accreditation and just completed their self-study school visits.  Of those 15 schools 6 schools are new applicants.  That will bring our total accredited schools to 83!
We are also excited that next year we have 3 more schools who are scheduled to have first time visits.  And just recently 3 more schools attended a meeting at the district office to find out more about accreditation and we hope to welcome them as new applicants very soon!
Our schools have great partnerships with regional accreditation bodies as well.  26 of our K-12 schools also hold WASC regional accreditation, 2 with North Central and 2 more with AdvancED.
We are also excited to add 3 more schools to the growing list of National Exemplary Lutheran Schools in our District.  St. Paul’s Elementary, Orange, St. Paul’s ECDC, Orange, and Orange Lutheran High join our other 8 recognized schools.
If you would like more information on becoming an accredited school please contact Kim Violette in School Ministries.

The GRANTPARENT Program, a School Ministries mission project of the Pacific Southwest District of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, provides tuition assistance enabling children to receive an excellent Christian and academic education in urban communities.

Now in its sixth year, the TEC21 community of Lutheran educators has grown from two schools in one district to 46 schools throughout nine LCMS districts: Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Oklahoma, Pacific Southwest, South Wisconsin and Southern Illinois. In the 2014/2015 school year, TEC21 expects to impact the lives of more than 84 teachers and hundreds of students. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity in a fun, safe environment to examine, question, evaluate and understand technology alongside a vibrant group of peer educators.
